CCAG Fun Day & BBQ 2016

Despite the unsettled spell, the weather gods smiled on the CCAG’s 3rd Annual Fun Day and members supported it with a record turn out.  Over 40 people were at the outdoor training field, with 38 dogs!!!

Fun was the byword of the day, with Agility competitions, Have a Go ring, Scurry and paddling pools to cool the pooches down.

Once again, a big thank you to Louise and Jean, ably assisted by Rebecca, for designing the courses and running the Agility.  There were 3 courses, Steeplechase, Jumping and Agility. With record numbers of people wanting to have a go with their dogs, the competitions over ran their normal time, amid much applause and laughter from those watching.

Alan & Beth won the Spotless Dog Steeplechase event, and Cat & Smudge dominated the CCAG Jumping and CCAG Agility competitions winning both.  The Fun Scurry was won, for the 3rd year in a row, by Pat & Booshka!

Martin then lit the BBQ, and everyone feasted on Sausage & Burgers, accompanied by salads and pastas and followed by Strawberries, Fruit Salad, Brownies and cream!

Events such as this take a lot of organising, and we would like to thank everyone who gave their time to put this on.  However, they are only as good as the support they receive, and a really, really big thank you goes out to the members of CCAG who got behind this event again.

See you in 2017!
